Tree Swallows!

Today was a very good day bird-wise, but unfortunately I was so busy helping people with identification of the birds and helping them find birds that other people saw that I didn't get too much of a chance to take pictures of anything. Here are two pictures that I did get to sneak in, and they both just happened to be the two major events of the day.

This morning the air was just filled with Tree Swallows by the 10,000s! For a little while this is all you could see when you looked up.

A Clay-colored Sparrow was found hanging out with the House Sparrows. Unfortunately I was at a bad angle for the available lighting, so this is the best photo I could get.

It's a great sight to see so many small birds in the air like that.
At the moment we have a similar thing with House Martins. Hundreds circling above, before they make their migration journey.
