Last night I was feeling sort of creative and very bored since I had already washed all the dishes, read all my books, took a looooong shower, and did everything else I could think of . With no TV, no internet and no cell service, and very little resources it is easy to run out of things to do.
So I set up my tripod, and braved the cold, pitch dark outdoors to try my hand at long-exposure photography. The sheer number of stars that can be seen from just my parking lot here on the tip of the Schoodic peninsula is just staggering! No, that is not dust on your screen....those are stars...billions of them!

Awww... looks so quiet and peaceful. Nicely done. Makes me want to come see Maine (even more).
It sure is peaceful and quiet...not a single sound at night except the waves crashing and the rustling of leaves on the trees.
